Cf Pachygaster sp.

Possibly the same species as the Presumed Pachygaster sp posted earlier? This is a male, again the eyes look somewhat different from the typical P.atra.

Little doubt that this can be anything else than Pachygaster leachii, the male.

Thx Paul. I also came to this conclusion, but this rare species (in Hungary) was only found at a single location in Hungary so far in the mountains. I observed these flies in the lowlands. Yet reading some more about this species, the habitat (ancient oak forest) seems ok, for this one.
