Fly of large red eyes and metallic blue body, beautiful. Around 6 mm.

Guadalfeo river banks, Granada (S Spain). February 18, 2012.

Hi Manuel

Nice photos of a female Lonchaea, It is almost impossible to tell which species it is especially when it comes from southern Spain in early spring - I am sure there are many as yet undescribed species in that area..
