Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Anthomyiidae sp

From midwest Sweden 2006-OCT-14. I assume this is a male Muscid, but I have no idea of the genus.

Any ideas about this fellow? He has a mysterious bump on the lower thorax!?

Hi crex,

It looks like an Azelia sp. but let's wait for a more expert opinion:)

Azelia, a genus I've never heard of. Hope someone can confirm this ... Thnx Andre.

Hmm. Why not Anthomyiidae? Looks like the anal vein reaches the wing margin.

Didn't see that or perhaps I didn't want to see that :p

About the bump, disease or a characteristic feature?
