The male looks a lot like
Phaonia angelicae (Muscidae). The unfortunate female is probably also a Phaonia, possibly
P. pallida (
P. angelicae female is similar but the thorax is browner). Both species are common (in southern Finland) on umbrellifers and other flowers.
