Quite a colourful Tachina ursina :)

Strange though ... I am wondering if it could be Tachina lurida ... it would be very early but I don't usually see T.ursina with such orange abdominal side-patches :S

Let's see what Theo says :)

There is clearly a narrow band of dust on tergite 5, so it really is ursina.

But I understand the confusion.

Moreover, it is much too early in the year for lurida.

Yeah, Theo summed up my confusion nicely ... the thin line means T.ursina here but I wasn't sure how variable the colour was in mainland Europe - especially in the south ;)

You are welcome

ursina is this variable even in The Netherlands.
So no problem here
