01.10.06, Side, Turkey.
There was also a lot of maggots in the sand under the poor creature. Maybe these were the larvae of the same Sarcophagidae? Size up to 10mm.

These certainly look like typical sarcophagid maggots - the posterior spiracles are partly hidden in an oval depression which is typical of this family.
