a funny thing happened just recently. About 2-3 weeks ago a colleague from a water authority board send me photo's of the larva of the same species ! Then it took me about half an hour to get the ID. So when I saw your photo's I recognized them immediately :)
By the way, not many species of Limoniidae larva can be identified to species level, but this one is typical.
Some diagnostic features, are easy to see on your photo's: The headcapsule is almost fully developed, it has ventral pseudopods and the pigmentation (and number) of (the) anal lobes.
