I found this today at the same place as http://www.dipter...d_id=34650. Is it Psychodidae? Is there any point in taking better pictures (I collected it)?

it looks very much like Psychodidae, it shows posterior floating hairs and lateral appendages. In my opinion larva of Psychodidae are very hard to identify and often need high magnification of the head capsule, and the details are better seen after clearing. When I see the encrustations (or silt deposits?) on the abdomen it must be a member of Pericoma. Also this genus fits the habitat even better than other genera.

Yes, the slime had collected on long curled hairs on the abdomen. There are lots of adults like this around.

Yes, I collected this one, but I dropped it on the floor and it's gone :| I'll go out and find some more.
