Hello. This photo was taken Aug 2 2009 in SW British Columbia, Canada. The fly is about 7-8 mm long and sitting underneath a hazel leaf (Corylus). Any clues on this fly?

The only known North American member of the species group is Minettia fasciata, probably accidentally introduced into the Pacific Northwest along with the invasive plant Sarothamnus scoparius.
