Hello everyone,

Is there anyone that could inform me where should I look for some documentation regarding the breeding of Calliphora vomitoria.

I am aware of all the life cycle, the only problem is that is very difficult to maintain a permanent population. I mean somehow I would like to be able to schedule the volume of the eggs they lay on the meat. I introduce the cocoons regularly on a daily basis, but there are periods of 3-5 days when the quantity of eggs is very reduced.

There are periods when lots of flies die and I cannot find the reason. The temperature never falls below 25 degrees.

Looking forward to hear from you!

Thank you in advance!

Send a PM to Andy Chick. AFAIK he works with immature calliphorids.
