hi flyforum,

This afternoon, I got some nice Leucophora sp. sunbathing.
Is it possible to tell what kind of Leucophora sp. this is?

I have some detailed pictures of this Leucophora.

hi Joke,

Is the dark face obvious for this species?
That face, I found rather typical from alle the other Leucophora I watched before.

Almost a year ago, I found a species like these.
M. Ackland suggest me also L. obtusa;

thanks and greeting,

Arista almost bare + very hairy species + hindfemur long haired beneeth + lower margin of gena with rows of upcurved setae + scutellum on lateral margins with several rows of setulae.
All these characterize on your ...as always...sharp photos!
So the dark face has probable to do with some lighting...
(and there are some differents in male and female !.....and this one is male and the one on Waarneming.nl looks female to me)

Joke:)
