Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Fly seeming similar to Tabanidae

Hello to all!
These flies (2 individuals, but seem to be from the same species) were about 14±2mm big and seem to me like being between Tabanidae and Rhagionidae. Who (Theo?) can give a name to them? Am I totally wrong when I put them into the corner of Athericidae?

14 June 2009, Austria, Tyrol, around Aschinger Alm (Zahmer Kaiser), approx. 1000 and 1200m asl

Best greetings
Rupert
