I'm not at all sure of the family. Can any ID be made?
Size around 5mm. On a wooden railing surrounding a pond (Helsingborg, Sweden), 9 July 2008 (in the evening).

Might be a Delia? Helsingborg is a famous locality for Anthomyiidae, as Ringdahl was a teacher there in the early part of the 20C. You have more species than Britain!

Thanks for the info. I had no idea :) That explains all the Anthomyiidae I've been seeing :)
