Is it possible to tell what species this is? From southeast Sweden in may 2006.

Edit: Changed subject (Unknown larvae)

Thank you.

The closest I've come checking the site "Moths and Butterflies of Europe and North Africa" is Aletia conigera, but many species on that site lacks photos of the larvae. I've emailed a specialist. Let's see if he answers.

I got an email from Kimmo Silvonen where he says it's a Mythimna sp. Probably Mythimna ferrago as it was found on a near sea location. Less probable is Mythimna conigera because this species occur mostly inland. Kimmo is one of the authors of "Larvae of Northern European Noctuidae" (part 1, 2006).

Nice to hear. Kimmo Silvonen helped me with IDs more than once.
