hi flyforum,

My first impression was Calliphoridae, by this quite heavy build fly.
But many characters sign to Muscidae sp. and with such a orange tip on scutellum and the orange antennebase, this could be good candidate for male Muscina prolapsa!?

I found it today in the Amsterdam forest, it isn't really Muscina-time isn't it?

Or is it some other specie?
