I think this bombyliid belongs to the genus Thyridanthrax, is that correct?

I think you are right: Thyridanthrax (probably fenestralis) with white spots around the wings crossveins and white bands on the abdomen interrupted in the middle. Good picture!

could equally be T. perspicillaris.
