Funny. Blepharipa was my first thought as well, the eyes are hairy, though.
There is a strong appendix to bend m, so there are 2 options
* some Exoristini (Parasetigena comes in mind)
* Linnaemyia

It is a bit early inthe year for L. tessellans, but then again, the south of France....
