Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Sciophila sp larva from decaying wood

Hi, I found an about 3 cm long larva in decaying wood in forest, N-E Hungary. It cast a 'web'. I think about Limoniidae, they are very common around, any water is quite far away. Some big, spottes-winged Limoniids were sitting on the very tree I found this larva in. Are there any Limoniids that don't live in water as larvae? Thanks,

Thank You! I found some Sciarids there but those were quite small for such a big larva, i think, 3-4 mm. Mycetophilids I have not seen yet in this forest, but found a huge Keroplatid, I think Platyura. Maybe this is the larva?
