Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Lindneromyia dorsalis?

Could it be this time a male of Lindneromyia dorsalis? The both sexes were near by. Has anyone documented mating in Platypezidae? Should be interresting!

I think, it's more likely
Kesselimyia chandleri, need to see the wing venation, but the bicolored eye is good character.
K. chandleri larvae lives between the gills of common fungus
Macrolepiota procera, notwithstanding the animal is often overlooked.

Today I found the first specimen of
Kesselimyia for Greece in a sample from the Kerkini Wetland Survey. :D

There are hardly any Platypezidae flying in my part of the world at present :|

Kesselimyia chandleri :1. in Poland this species does not occur. 2. the details of the foreheads and wings are not visible. In my opinion, this is a wrong identifications.
