This fly was the reason, why I thought the Muscina in this thread: http://www.dipter...d_id=16313 was a Polietes, too, before taking a closer look. Same size (10 mm) and habitus, found at the same place and date (at a hedge on Sept-18, northwest Germany). But this is really a Polietes sp. male, right?
