A. flavicollis match among the Finnish species.
It's a rather uncommon species even in Malaise traps and nearly impossible to find by sweep-netting. This is the 11th record of the species in Finland: the first specimen was taken in 1956, one in 1979 and the rest are post-2000 records of 1-4 specimens. Our other yellow
Achalcus (
vaillanti and
nigropunctatus) are much more numerous, if equally difficult to find without Malaise traps.
