Hello,

what Stratiomyidae is this? I found it one month ago in western germany. The abdomen was light blue, what cannot be seen very good on the picture. (Length about 7 or 8mm)

Thanks,
Michael

Choromyia... formosa? I know than C. formosa and C. speciosa are distinguished by tarsi colour, but I'm not sure about what is what.

Hello,

I don't know why, but I always thought that the abdomen of Chloromyia formosa should be red-brown, but now I see, that this is not true.

What concerns Ch. speciosa, after looking in the gallery it seems to me, that esp. the hind tarsi and tibiae are more yellow. So this here should "only" be Ch. formosa again.

Thank you for your answer,
Michael
