I like the picture because is nice but I would prefair very much that this fly let me take also a "normal" pic for see the wing venation. Unfortunately it don't let me. So, maybe the genus can't be recognizable, but I try it.
Two days ago. Anz?nigo, Huesca, NE Spain, 600 meters. Small: about 7 mm long (without proboscis).
Can be identified?
Thanks.
Regards

seems to be Systoechus sp. but I'm not confident. Wish to see the wing venation.

what is the difference between Dischitus and SYstoechus? I suppose that the former is very whitish with a milky appearance?? And with a longer proboscis. Is it right?

Dischitus- head broader, laterotergite bare, r-m well beyond m-cu
Systoechus- head nattower than thorax, laterotergite haired, r-m and m-cu at same level.
biro and
senex are pale grey species, the common
Systoechus is a yellow fly (usually-they can fade)
