Hi, I got this Opomyzidae today from the same place I got Geomyza hackmani female some days ago. This one is male and I have no key. Should I take some closeups or study something as long as the specimen is still fresh?

This certainly looks like G. hackmani. You could use following publication to identify your specimen:

Drake, C.M., 1993. A Review of the British Opomyzidae.? British Journal Ent. Nat. Hist. 6: 159-176.
