Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Chyromyiidae or Lauxaniidae?

Hello!

A small one (3 mm) from our garden last night (northwest Germany). Could it be a Chyromyia sp.?

Looks like Lauxaniidae to me, but let's wait for the specialists opinion :).

Hi,
Lauxaniidae, may be Sapromyzosoma quadricincta (i think i can see a spot on abdomen)

Ok, estimating is always difficult, but this fly was really rather small. Let it be 3.5 mm, at most 4 mm (but I don't believe it), but not larger.
