Hi all,

a few days ago I made a few images of a hoverfly while it was in the air. I assumed it would be E. tenax, but after inspecting the images, I'm not so sure any more. Since it refused to land somewhere I have only some in-flight images. Is it possible to determine of narrow down the species from these images?

Germany, Garden in western Munich, 13.04.2025, app. 10 mm KL (just guessing here).
