Hi,
I found this fly at the edge of a mixed forest on dead wood. Is it a Tabanus bromius?
Size ca. 15 mm. The fly looks a bit pale.

Hi Marion, some details are hard to see (3rd antennal segment red with dark top, pale hairs at antenna base), but I think you are right with
T. bromius - De vliegenfamilies met drie voetkussentjes (Zeegers, Schulten)
