Back then, I had a vase with Apiaceae in it, but couldn't find any exuviae. Of another origin I couldn't think; then, they must have come in through the window(?). Nevertheless, it seemed as if they had hatched within my room, somehow. In other rooms of the house I saw none of them, neither in the garden...

Thank you also for the information on its rarity in Germany; interesting. The species can't be overlooked, it's really conspicuous (that said by a lepidopterologist, not a dipterist).
