Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Larva in small "pool" of a trunk - ID? --> possibly Sphegina (Syrphidae)

Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Pinneberg-Waldenau near Hamburg, mixed forest Klövensteen, in a hole of an old sawed off trunk (pinetree), filled up with (rain)water, length of the larva: I think about 35 mm, moving all the time and never lost the connection to the air; 12th of April 2022.
