Hi,

I have photographed this fly two days ago on the bell of a cowslip (40 km West of Paris).
From its shaggy look I think this could be a Tachinidae.
Any idea about its identity?
Thanks for your expertise!

Hi, to me it looks more like a male of Anthomyiidae.

Hi FRV, I took a picture in my garden today (unfortunately only a lateral one, too) and I think it's the same?
It could be a Delia sp., I think.

Eric,
Apart from the coloration the two flies seems identical, so probably same species.
