I photographed this fly in Bazzano (AQ), Italy, on December 10th 2020. Based on what I observed, I think it was trying to hunt a small Phoridae (a short video can be seen here https://youtu.be/...).
I think it is a Coenosia, but is it possible to identify its species from these photos?
