Hello,
For this
Cylindromyia photographed in the south of France, I tried to eliminate the species that I could.
-
bicolor : top of the abdomen red
-
intermedia : 2nd antennal article yellow
-
interrputa and
pusilla : lack apical scutellar bristle
-
rubida and
rufipes : orange legs
-
rubifrons : yellow frontal band
-
brevicornis,
pilipes, brassicaria, xylotina : no pv on hind tibia
It's more difficult with
auriceps. This species, according to the key of central Europe Tachinidae, generally has discal bristles, but in a lot of pictures here I can't see these bristles. According to the key again, this species does not have pd bristles on tibia 2, but I think I can see pd on a few pictures in the forum.
In France, we have too :
scapularis and
hermonensis.
Any information on
scapularis and
hermonensis, and an idea for this
