Hello,

For this Cylindromyia photographed in the south of France, I tried to eliminate the species that I could.

- bicolor : top of the abdomen red
- intermedia : 2nd antennal article yellow
- interrputa and pusilla : lack apical scutellar bristle
- rubida and rufipes : orange legs
- rubifrons : yellow frontal band
- brevicornis, pilipes, brassicaria, xylotina : no pv on hind tibia

It's more difficult with auriceps. This species, according to the key of central Europe Tachinidae, generally has discal bristles, but in a lot of pictures here I can't see these bristles. According to the key again, this species does not have pd bristles on tibia 2, but I think I can see pd on a few pictures in the forum.

In France, we have too : scapularis and hermonensis.

Any information on scapularis and hermonensis, and an idea for this Cylindromyia ?
