Thread subject: Diptera.info :: black fly ID -> Silba sp.

Hello everyone,

This fly was found on June 4th in central Greece (Magnesia prefecture). Unfortunately, I'm not even sure what family it belongs to. Is identification possible? Thank you in advance.

Tony is correct - Lonchaeidae - probably a Silba species
