Hello everyone,

I start in the identification of Tachinidae ...
With this specimen, I came across the Nowickia marklini species.

Collected near Toulouse in France
Size : 11-12mm

What do you think ?

Benoît

You missed the strong Peleteria bristles

It is Peleteria rubescens (unless it would be from mountains)

Thank you Theo,

I hesitated a lot on the differentiating criteria of these genres....
Not obvious for the first time.

No, there are no mountains!

Best regards,
Benoît
