Old observation from 17 Aug. 2019.

It examined insect holes in an old, rotten birch trunk (my natural insect hotel). The holes were used by Stigmus

https://insektenf...99138& wasps.
Body length +/- 6mm without antennas and ovipositor. Insect holes 1.5 to 2.0 mm in diameter.

When viewed from the side, the metasomal / abdomenal segments widen towards the posterior end, giving it a more blunt end.
There seems to be something stuck on the side, the little grey triangle it's trying to remove with its hind legs - see video

Hi Ray, it could be a wasp of the Braconidae - Alysiinae.
