Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Agromyzidae/Ophiomyia ?

Hello,
Agromyzidae observed in our garden on june 6th. Do you think that the Ophiomyia genus is correct ? Thanks for your help. Sincerely yours, Jean-Michel Garel.

Agromyzidae: Agromyzinae, see the typical coagulated ending of subcosta and R1 veins. Genus is either Ophiomyia or Melanagromyza, trustful distinction only after male genitalia as there are Ophiomyia spp. without male vibrissal fasciculus and with slight metallic sheen of the body. In Europe all spp. of both genera possess black halteres. In the lower image you see the normal tiny whitish terminal slit in the knob of the black halter.
