Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Aedes japonicus or koreicus?->Can't be decided based on the image only

Specimen observed in Hungary, on May 20. Based on the coloration of the abdomen I would say Ae. koreicus, but it seems that the last tarsomeres of the hindlegs are completely black, which is a characteristic of the Ae. japonicus. I simply can't decide, so I ask for help from experts with more experience.

Hi, it's not possible to decide based on your images. If we only look at the hindlegs it's clearly japonicus, but a good photo of the thorax is necessary to determine the species with more confidence.

Thank you, unfortunately only these photos are available since they were sent to me by someone as a part of a mosquito observation program
