Hello!

A little (4-5 mm) fly from October-14 (Ostwestfalen/Germany) on a meadow near forest. I think it is a Siphona sp. (Tachinidae), but am not quite sure...

Sorry we can't say more than 'Siphona sp.' but they are a very difficult genus. I would only say that in the UK 99% of the Siphona I catch are geniculata ... but in Russia 90% were flavifrons ... so maybe it isn't a good rule of thumb ;)

And Germany lies somewhere in the middle geographically ;) (ok, northwest Germany is more close to the UK...).
