is it possible to identify this fly? Could it be Polietes lardarius?

Seen in: Germany, Baden-Württemberg, Schwäbische Alb, oberes Donautal, on grassland, about 8-10mm, 26 of may 2010

Probably yes. They are very common now, exspecially on fresh (warm) horse manure. I live on a horse farm, we have them everywhere.
