Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Culex pipiens male? = probably so

Hello everyone, i think that this is a Culex species but i'm not sure. I suppose that pipiens is the most common species, so i label it C. pipiens. Confirmation or a better suggestion will be nice if possible.

It is a male Culex, probably pipiens, but separating the species in that group is difficult - in a few years you will be able to buy a hand-held sequencer that will be able to give you an answer ... |t

I like the idea of a hand held sequencer. Very exciting! looking forward to it :)
as usual, i will make microscopic photos and view genitalia eventually.
