Hello! This specimen was seen at SabiƱanigo, Huesca, NE Spain (Pyrenees mountains) at 17th June 2007.
Could the species be identified or guessed, please? Thanks!

Well, for starters, it is a male Tabanus and it looks like a simple autumnalis.

Oh, what an unsuspected surprise! When I've photographed it, I tough is a Tabanus, but some people told me that it's an Hybomitra instead a Tabanus...
Well, doubt solved so many years after. Big thanks! :-)
P. S. The abdomen is not unusually pointy?
