Picture is taken in a garden in Hessen, Germany.
Any suggestions to the species?

Hi Andre.
Some time ago I decided that I stop make images of fly like this.
The reason was: I await the answer: it is famale of Anthomyiidae and it is impossible to say more. Let me check whether I was right or not, please.
Nikita

Hi Nikita,
I was only testing my new old camera (Minolta dImage A1)... But anyway, even if the exact species is not known I am still quite satisfied with the result.
By the way: I like YOUR website a lot! Very nice!
Greetings, Andr

OK not really impossible but there are very few persons in the world that have any real idea about the females and none of them is a member of this forum.

(EDIT: Removed some stuff about European Anthomyiid specialists. Paul's comment below refers to the deleted stuff.)

Ackland is European? I've always though he's 'Nearctic'. Oops...

Paul, could you add an 'embarrassed' smiley to the board? I could use one every now and then *embarrased smiley*:)
