Hello,

Still in Savoy (France), 2007/7/17.

Is this Empis tessellata?

Nope. I need to check this one with a book I do not have here.

Paul,

Thanks in advance for any clue.

What is the reference for Empididae?

Difficult to say. Most reliable and comprehensive works are for Northern and Northwestern Europe: Collin (British Flies) and Chv?la (Fauna entomologica Scandinavica).

Hi,
This is not Empis tessellata. Something from Empis (Leptempis).

This is Empis (Leptempis) pandellei Daugeron, 1999, with paratypes also from Savoie.
