South-east Norway, 27. February. Found on , and nexst to a small pond, close to the sea. Unfortunatly the pictures shows two or three different flies,... but I think it is the same species. 5-6mm. The fly seems to occure locally in quite a large number.

The lack of pulvilli indicates tribe Ephydrini and the three pairs of orbitals suggest Ephydra, rather than Setacera. Species determination by genitalia.
