Hello,

sorry for the bad picture quality. This 5 mm male was sunbathing at a tree trunk today at 3 °C at forest border (northwest Germany).

P.S.: For these low temperatures there were many flies on the wing today: Phaonia tuguriorum, Neomyia cornicina, Calliphora vicina, several Anthomyiidae and/or Muscidae still to be identified plus the usual Trichocerids, Sciarids - and Eraomyia lonchaeoides (Lonchaeidae, in numbers). Even a lizard (Zootoca vivipara) was sunbathing on a tree trunk. :D
