Two poor shots of a simuliidae in february. I think it's a female. Is the genus identifiable ?

Probably
Simulium but I'm not certain. All or almost all of the European Simuliidae here are
Simulium. In America we have more variety.

There may be only a few red species. I don't know.
Simulium tend to be more colorful; about half of the subgenera have legs banded with white or distinct stripes on thorax.
