Small (2.5 mm) on leaves at dusk in the dry season (Feb.) Scarce in the local area. Drifts over leaves sideways.

Perhaps you should check which species of
Acletoxenus and related genera (Drosophilidae) you have in that area. Perhaps I am way off base, because I cannot see any distinct setae anywhere, but our
Acletoxenus formosus is what it reminds me of.

Thank you .. that looks like the right place. There are widely distributed species of Acletoxenus in the region.
