Hi,

Here is a Tabanid i found this summer in Pirins Montains (Bulgaria) at about 2200m hight in a meadow with cows.

I'm not really sure of the genus, but i see a little pilosity on eyes.
Legs totally black + tergites yellow pubescent on posterior margin would lead me to H auripila (witch seems to be a variety of aterrima in the gallery), would you agree?

Yes, clovis, H. auripila it is.

Recently, I posted here that auripila is the valid name and aterrima the synonym, not vice versa. Do a search in the forum to find this post.
