Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Xylomya maculata?

Hi,

A friend of mine found this fly on the 07/07/2013, at Saint jean le vieux, in south France.

We believe it is Xylomyidae, Xylomya maculata but we would like to be sure.

I don't think it is Xylomyia czekanowskii, because it seams it is a northern specie and the tibia 2 and 3 looks really different from this specimen: http://72.44.83.9...to_id=8585.
I didn't found anything about X trinotata, but according to Fauna eruopaea, it is an east european specie.
