Hallo

Is it possible to make photos from living animals of family Ceratopogonidae and Simuliidae without being stung?
It must really hurt, so I dont want to be stung.
Once, some Simuliidae tried to stab through my trousers, but the photos were not good.

Do all bites hurt so much? A 2mm sized Ceratopogonidae stabbed me in the arm, without pain, only a slight itch. Unfortunately I had no camera at hand.

Im looking forward for some tips. :)
